The return of Formula 1 at the Grand Prix du Castellet

From June 24th to 26th the world’s greatest Formula 1 drivers will at long last be competing against each other again on the famous Castellet motorsport racetrack, also known as the Paul-Ricard circuit. F1 fans will be thrilled by the unique atmosphere of this major championship. Book your stay right now at the Sezz Saint Tropez to attend the French Grand Prix at Le Castellet.

The big comeback of Formula 1 in France

The Grand Prix du Castellet will see the return of Formula 1 to France after 10 years of absence on June 24th. The last Grand Prix de France was, as we recall, run at Magny-Cours. F1 had deserted the Circuit Paul Ricard for 28 years, since the heady year when Alain Prost and his Ferrari sounded La Marseillaise for the 100th victory in F1 for Scuderia Ferrari.

Motor racing enthusiasts will be looking forward to seeing the top drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, but these champions will be placed under considerable pressure on the home soil of the leading French competitors Romain Grosjean, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, and the Renault team.

The entertainment will continue until Sunday evening, on the track, on the air and in the stands before the party ends with a big concert by David Guetta.

A new look for a legendary circuit

The iconic Castellet circuit has curves that will never be changed. However, for its return among the greats, Le Castellet has been given a makeover even though the circuit generally conformed to the standards demanded by Formula 1. It was thus necessary to upgrade 90,000 m2 of asphalt to offer a perfect visual. Three turns have also been widened to create overtaking areas, so the race is even more spectacular while maximising clearances and safety. Finally, the paddock was enlarged, and a display tower installed in the pit straight.

Come for a stay at the Sezz Saint-Tropez and see the return of Formula 1 in France!
