Portrait of Jean-Noël, maintenance manager

What was your professional background until you arrived at Sezz?

With an electrical engineering background, I have always worked in the hotel industry. After a first year as a technician, I quickly moved to a position as manager in a hotel in the Paris area. In 2001 I met Shahé KALAIDJIAN and worked in his first hotel in Marne-la-Vallée (77). I then worked in his other hotels in Paris (Pavillon de Paris and Sezz). In 2017, I moved with my family to the Gulf of Saint-Tropez area.

What are your main missions as a maintenance manager?

Coming to the Sezz Saint-Tropez remains a unique experience whether it's tasting Chef Colinet's cuisine or staying in one of the rooms. My main mission is to make sure that this experience goes smoothly without calling the maintenance department, and that each resident leaves with a smile.

What qualities are essential to have?

Discretion, responsiveness, thoroughness and efficiency.

What is your favorite time of day and what are the key moments?

I prefer lunchtime because it's a time for sharing with the whole team. The morning is a key moment with the exchanges between the housekeeper and the department managers.

What do you think are the must-do activities in Saint-Tropez ?

The walks on the coastal paths, the visit of the old village, the citadel, the market, the unavoidable port and the sails in October, not to be missed.

Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your experience at Sezz?

One day while doing the maintenance of a plunge pool (small private pool) in a room, I fell in. The client was present and amused, he asked me if the water was good!
