Nautical events in Saint Tropez this March

The love story between Saint-Tropez and the sea has endured for centuries, so it's little wonder that nautical events are organised regularly for the enjoyment of both the curious and the passionate. The month of March heralds the start of some of the best nautical events, and Hotel Sezz cordially invites you to visit the port to learn more.

"Au Large de Saint Tropez": Conquering the Mediterranean

The famous "Au Large de Saint-Tropez" regatta will cast off for the 9th consecutive year. This great nonstop Mediterranean race covers a 900-mile course and counts towards the IRC Offshore Mediterranean Championship. Like every year, the course will be determined according to weather and the direction of the tides. This exceptional race is, among other things, a chance for boating enthusiasts to get together. Don't miss the start of the race on 3rd March 2018!

Armen Festival, a Tropezian triathlon

Organised since 1978 by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez with the support of the City, the ARMEN Festival (contraction of ARt MEr Neige) is an event that combines sailing, skiing and art. The 41st edition will take place from March 16th to 25th, 2018. Open to traditional sailing boats, mono-hulls and HN or INC gauge monotypes, the ARMEN Festival expects between 60 and 80 sailboats to be in the running. The three-part festival also counts towards the IRC Mediterranean Championship. The weekend of 16th to 18th March 2018 will be devoted to regattas with a round trip from Saint-Tropez to Cavalaire. Two teammates per boat will also have to distinguish themselves in ski events that will take place at Isola 2000 on March 23, 2018. They will defend their place in a slalom. Finally, one of the team members will create a work of art; an 'idea box' is the imaginative theme for 2018.  This work will be exhibited during the week of the Festival from March 16th to 25th, 2018. Be sure not to miss this festive event!
