An eagerly awaited cultural celebration taking place at the tail-end of summer, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are now over a quarter of a century old and continue to grow in popularity. Although Saint-Tropez is most often associated with glamour and celebrity, Heritage Days give the resort the opportunity to demonstrate its cultural, artistic and historical side.

Now extended throughout all of Europe, Heritage Days will take place on the weekend of September 15th and 16th. In Saint-Tropez, famous places and several that are relatively little-known will open their doors to the public. History buffs will want to visit the citadel and its dungeons, which are home to a museum dedicated to maritime history, and then take a trip to the Temple Protestant, where you can see an exhibition celebrating 500 years of the Reformation.
