Natural spaces are particularly well protected and easily accessible in Saint-Tropez. The coastal path is a perfect example. Following the contour of the peninsula, it wanders amidst beautiful Mediterranean flora such as maritime pines, mastic trees, cypress and rosemary, and offers wonderful views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. You will also find beaches tucked away off the beaten track. Canoubiers Beach, very close to the Hotel Sezz, retains its natural appearance, and if you appreciate that stretch of coast, you are sure to love the wild character of Moutte Beach, accessible only on foot. Finally, the hinterland is also enchanting and offers numerous wonderful hikes in the Massif des Maures amidst the unique flora and fauna of this picturesque mountain range.
A Garden of Eden in the heart of Saint-Tropez
The contemporary architecture of the Hotel Sezz removes the boundaries between interior and exterior, so that nature and light are not constrained. And the Sezz garden is designed in harmony with this architecture. Traditional Mediterranean species such as aloe, mastic pistachio, and myrtle rub verdure with species from further afield such as false jasmine, lantana and pittosporum. Our landscaper Christophe Ponceau arranged and presented the flora in various spaces, including by the swimming pool, spa, parking lot, etc., so that each presents a beautiful visual and olfactory identity. From spring to the end of autumn, the rhythm of nature’s life cycle is imprinted there. Finally, the chef of the Colette restaurant, Philippe Colinet, also takes advantage of this natural space to cultivate flowers, aromatic plants and citrus fruits that he uses as ingredients in his creations.
A natural destination as unexpected as it is sublime, Saint-Tropez can also be discovered through hiking and exploring the natural environment... like the superb garden of the Hôtel Sezz.
