Let's Clean the World!
75 kgs of soap, 45 kgs of plastic ... No, it’s not our shopping list; it’s our recycling achievement! In partnership with Clean the World, an American NGO that recycles and redistributes toiletries discarded by the hospitality industry, we are helping to make the world a better and cleaner place.
Tons of soap... wasted
Clean the World’s CEO, Shawn Seipler, travelled extensively during his professional life and was amazed and appalled by the incredible number of soaps, shower gels and shampoos made available by the hotels, which, although barely started, were simply thrown away without a thought when they could, according to health studies, be used to help save thousands of lives.
A really great idea…
Shawn Seipler boldly seized the initiative and founded Clean the World, a global health organisation committed to improving the quality of life in vulnerable communities globally. Operating throughout the United States and Canada, as well as Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, London ... and Saint-Tropez, Clean the World gathers surplus soaps to be processed and redistributed to various locales, while shampoos and other hygiene products are sent to local associations to be offered to the disadvantaged, and plastic bottles are recycled.
…To which we adhere
For almost a year now, we have been working alongside Clean the World. Toiletries that our guests do not fully use are given a second life. To date, nearly 75kgs of new soaps have been made with leftovers from the Hotel Sezz Saint Tropez. We are happy and proud to participate in this human chain that combines solidarity with ecology and are delighted to imagine that this simple and indispensable product has passed through the French Riviera before ending up in Syria, Panama, the Caribbean or Zambia. No matter the location, it’s doing good, and that’s the important thing.
